How We Fund the Leather History Preservation Foundation Scholarships
The creator of our logo, Tabitha Fischer, graciously donated her contest prize - a full three day weekend registration to Leather History Conference 2016 - to the Foundation to use for someone who wanted to attend the Conference, but could not for financial reasons.
We are incredibly grateful for both her talent, and her generosity!
This started our drive for scholarships for the event. Several other registered attendees followed suit. Thanks to their generous donations, we were able to provide a total of SIX scholarships for Leather History Conference 2016. We were able to repeat that for Leather History Preservation Weekend 2017, and each LHPW event held since then!
The Foundation is now looking for donations to fund scholarships for our 2023 event.
Our scholarships are funded through our sale of T-Shirts and other items through TeePublic, online and onsite auctions of donated items, and the generosity of individual donors. We have secured funding for SIX 2023 scholarships already! Thank you, everyone, for your generousity. Help us fund a few more and break another record!
Scholarship fund donations are now tax deductible, and may be made through our Paypal account, please indicate in the NOTES if you would like your donation to apply to the scholarship fund.
